Techno Comics was started in January 2005, although a vague idea for Deathfist Ninja GKaiser came about in 1998. Founded by Jim Freedan, the company was created as a means to realize his vision of a comic that changes the entire meaning of satire in comics.
Mission:
We strive to create stories for adolescents and adults exclusively in the style of Eastern "manga" comic artwork that possess innovative storylines and a fresh attitude!
We here at Techno Comics are attempting to bridge the gap between Western and Eastern methods of storytelling in pictorial formats. Our stories are written with an American audience in mind, therefore you should find our stories easier to understand and relate to since there is no need to translate sentences from a foreign language or constantly look up cultural references in order for you to understand the comic, as you otherwise may need to for overseas manga. You will find our stories are loaded with Western cultural references, expecially when it comes to pop culture.
We have chosen the name "Techno Comics" to represent our company because, like techno music, we wish to reinterpret and revolutionize the way people think about Western comics in the United States, just like how techno music looks at musical melodies from another perspective.
Our products:
Currently, our only title is "Deathfist Ninja GKaiser", a comedy/action webmanga story about the adventures of Richter Nash, a teenage boy who is summoned to a parallel universe in desperate need of a hero!
Richter is granted the power of the Golden Dragon, enabling him transform into the most powerful superhero in the universe, GKaiser, so that he may save "Manga-Land" from the evil clutches of Dark Shinobi and his TerrorSoft Empire of Butterfly Ninjas.
The only problem is, they accidentally summoned the wrong guy!
With a story that has an unlikely hero, ridicilous villians, certifiably-insane sidekicks and more 80s and 90s throwbacks than you can fathom, Deathfist Ninja GKaiser is sure to change the way people think about superhero comics.
East meets West, along with North and South, in Deathfist Ninja GKaiser!
